e like to think of ourselves as a “teaching” practice and welcome new therapists who are seeking or recently acquired full licensure. We offer supervision, which is included in your employment. EJC is a well-established practice in Gaston and Union Counties, so you will most likely be able to work with your preferred client population and practice in your area of specialty (children, adults, families, etc). Our therapists are passionate about the work they do and are intentional about creating a warm, welcoming environment, for both clients and staff. ALL INTERN POSITIONS ARE CURRENTLY FILLED FOR THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC YEAR. WE WILL BEGIN ACCEPTING NEW INTERNS FOR SUMMER ‘25.

Many of our therapists started as interns here at EJC, so we understand the excitement and anxiety of finding a field experience site. Your clinical experience is a pivotal part of your education and we like to set our interns up for success. You will gain exposure to a variety of clinical and administrative services. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to shadow or co-lead the following: individual, couple, and family therapy sessions, psycho-educational workshops, therapeutic retreats, case staffing, client intakes, and more. We have therapists who are certified supervisors and are available to provide the support and feedback needed to help you strengthen your skills as a therapist-in-training.
